Me and My Cat

So today's I Love Promarkers challenge is not to use DPs.... I do love challenges like this as not so long ago I rarely used any DPs at all. I've tried to give it some dimension so the photos were not easy to take.  I've also entered this one into My Mums Craft Shop challenge which this week is "Flowers".  Here is the card.......

The image is from LOTV "Me and My Cat", I've coloured in with promarkers ( Ice Grey 1,2,4, Khaki, Marsh, Olive, Amethyst, Orchid, Tan, Cinnamon, Chestnut, Ginger, Spice, Apricot, Oatmeal, Buttercup, Mustard, Cerise, Rose, Pale Pink, Baby Pink, Blossom). The sentiment is also from LOTV.  I've used a sizzix embossing folder ( one of the Tim Holtz ones) to emboss the stone effect and then rubbed in memento ink ( grey, brown and black) to get the stone effect.  It's finished off with a couple of butterfly's and a scrap of ribbon.

Hope you like it....

Dino Makes Me Smile...

Well my lost mojo seems to have semi returned this morning (Phew) so here I am with a quick card for this weeks Passion For Promarker Challenge which is "Pre-Historic". It's also Digital Tuesday and this week's challenge is a sketch by Natascha.  It also fits in with this weeks Crafty Catz # 79 - Children's Cards.

The Image is Eric from Digi Stamp Boutique and it's coloured in with my trusty promarkers ( Moss, Pear, Marsh, Tan, Cinnamon). The papers are from My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus collection. The sentiment is from Scrap-A-Licious. Buttons are from my stash and twine from the Ribbon Girl.

Hope you like it

Autumn Silhouettes

Yes I know, bit early for autumn yet, but I was at Lizy's last night and borrowed these stamps from kanban and I was really struggling with my mojo.... so I just wanted to make a quick card.  I used the sketch from  sweet Sunday sketch 114 as a little inspiration.  Here is the card....

Image is from Kanban Set Autumn Silhouettes and is stamped with rich cocoa memento ink. The spotty paper is In the Meadow from Nitwit collections free with a magazine and the ribbon from a really old making memories ribbon card.  The button from the extras from clothing.

Hope you like it

Snorkeling Bunny

So when I saw this Tiddly Inks image I could just not resist in buying it.... How perfect a little Snorkeling Bunny... And I thought I would sneak this into today's Cupcake Crafts Challenge for my last entry before I am guest designer in May.... Now I bet Faye and the Guys never thought that this weeks theme of "Fluffy Bunnies" would see this image LOL.... I'm also going to enter it into this weeks Sketch n Stash which is Any Sketch and I'm using sketch #42 from their challenge.  It's also of course an entry into the Tiddly Inks challenge -Your A Stitch.  Here is the card....

So the image is Snorkel Bunny and I've coloured this with my promarkers ( Cool Aqua, Turquoise, Powder Blue, Cobalt, China Blue, Lime, Cinnamon, Mustard, Ice Grey 1,2, Pale Pink, Blender). Papers are Pink Petticoat Teal plain. The card blank was a 5 x 7 Blank that I've cut to 5" square. I've faux stitched it (partly because my little sewing machine decided to misbehave :-( ...silly thing). It's finished off with a couple of dew drops...

Hope you like it...I've off to Lizy's now for a full evening of crafting LOL...

Little Einsteins for Keiran....

Well here is the second card for Keiran... using Little Einsteins as the theme... I sort of followed the sketch at "Sew Many Cards #51".

Images are from colouring sheets found from google again, coloured in with promarkers ( far to many to name LOL).  The blue spotty paper is MY OWN lol courtesy of a little work with Adobe Illustrator as i couldn't find black spots on a colour in any of my papers digi or printed lol. Sentiment is printed from PC.

Hope you like it... I'm off for an Easter Egg Hunt at Lizy's once I've put the finishing touches to my famous cheesecake..... Have a great Sunday

Mickey Mouse For My Great-Grandson...

Today is the 3rd Birthday of a very special little boy in my Life.... Keiran, Lizy's little boy (most of the LIMettes will have visited Lizy at some point LOL). This is one of the two cards I have made for him... But this one seemed to fit with this weeks LIM challenge - Off Centre....Here it is...

The image is a colouring page from google images ( these are so useful, especially for children's cards) and I have used my promarkers to quickly add some colour ( Tulip, Mustard, Blossom, Ruby and Berry). The Kraft card is from Pink Petticoat Organics set and the sentiment is printed using Walt-O-Graph font (freebie).

Hope you like it.. I'll be back with the second card shortly...

Sweetest Birthday Ever

Morning LIMetts, I'm not quite as early as usual today.. only just managed to get up at 8am, never mind have PC switched on LOL....
Well Chrissie and Mandi are challenging as ever this morning with a theme this week of "Off Centre".  And boy did I struggle... I'm not really happy with the end result, so you are likely to see me again at some point this week LOL.  Here is the card.

The Image is Pink Petticoat as well as the sentiment and I've coloured it in with promarkers. It's finished off with a little glitter and a bow...

Have a fab day

Chase Your Dreams

Well what a beautiful day it is and I've been awake for hours.... I actually made this card last night but couldn't get a decent picture of it.  It's inspired by The Sweet Stop Sketch #104 and is also perfect for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge #138 "Lots of Layers", and this weeks Flutterby Wednesday as well. Here is the card....

The papers are from My Minds Eye Tickled Pink collection, Seam binding and dew drops from the Ribbon Girl and I have used Sizzix Tim Holtz Butterflies. The Tim Holtz ATC card was used to cut out some of the layers. The sentiment is from a freebie at Scrap-a-licious Times, you really should check these out as they are amazing.

Anyhow hope you all have a lovely day... I'm looking forward to 5 o'clock when I have no work for a whole 11 days yippee....

Puss in a Pink Boot

Well time for yet another card... I seem to be getting later this week but it's so busy at work I'm just glad I have some time to make cards....
The main inspiration for today's card does come from Passion for Promarkers "White on White" challenge.  So enough waffling, here is the card..

The image is LOTV's Puss In Boots (another not yet inked until today), and I've coloured it in with Promarkers ( Ice Grey 1-5, Black, Blossom, Fuchsia Pink and Pink Carnation).  I've embossed white card with a cuttlebug embossing folder ( swiss dots).  It's finished off with some pink tulip seam binding and and a couple of clear dew drops. The sentiment is from a Fizzy Moon set.

I'm entering this into the following challenges as well ..... Crafty Catz Furry Friends,  Fab n Funky Dots & Spots, Craft Your Passion You've Been Spotted. I've also used the Sketch from Sketch n Stash.

Hope you like it

A Birthday Recipe

Hope you are all looking forward to the Easter break,I know I am, I'm planning on starting decorating my new craft studio (well at least stripping off the old wall paper lol).

Today's card used LOTVs Mix it and Make it stamp which I have yet to use (bad me)... I've used this weeks Sketch from Sketch Saturday as inspiration to make a Red, White and Blue card in line with the Ribbon Girl challenge.  I'm also entering this into DYSU Scallops Challenge and Crafts for Me # 30 - Ribbon.  Now I know I don't normally enter so many with one card but they all seemed to fit today. Here is the card....

The image is coloured with my promarkers ( Cool grey 1,3, Blossom, Buttercup, Mustard, Tan, Satin, Cobalt, China, Blue Pearl, Ruby and Berry).  I've used paper from Pink Petticoat (Little Check in pebble) and finished off with white seam binding and dew drops from The Ribbon Girl and the scallops using a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is also LOTV, which I have stamped onto white shrinkie plastic (it was too big stamped on paper :-()

Hope you like it

Spring Wishes From Your Chick

Well it's nearly the Easter break so I thought I'd make one final Spring/Easter card.  I've made this one a little more contemporary using the sketch from Clean & Simple stamping along with a Penny Black Chick image in line with their Easter challenge. I'm also entering it into this weeks Totally Papercrafts Spring Time challenge. Here is the card.....

The image is from T for Transparent Penny Black, coloured simply with promarkers ( Buttercup, Tulip, Mustard, Duck Egg, Cool Aqua, Amber).  The DPs are from MME's Hattie collection and I've printed the sentiment from my PC (Fonts - Anke Print, Courier).  It's finished off with a little faux stitching and yellow ribbon from the ribbon girl.

Hope you like it...

Which One Shall I Open First?

It's a beautiful day outside, but my hay fever has kicked in and it's far more fun to be in the craft room.... I've used a Little Claire stamp for this card which I picked up at Harrogate.... The challenge this week is "Animals" so I thought this was perfect! I picked up another Top 3 there on challenge 4 but I thinks it's only because I keep using their images.... Maybe it's good brownie points for when they finally do a DT call LOL.... Anyhow enough waffling, here is the card....

The stamp is an image called  "Doggie Parcels" from Little Claire and I've coloured using my trusty promarkers (ice grey 1,2,5, buttercup, mustard, meadow, apple, cool aqua, duck egg, colbalt, china blue, cardinal red, ruby).  Papers are from Pink Petticoats Big Fella collections and lots of dots. It's finished off with a little glossy accents and a simple sentiment from PC ( Font- A little Pot).

I'm entering this into the following challenges...

Little Claire - Animals
CES - Sketch
Simon Says - For a Child
A spoonful of Sugar - All Creatures great and small

Hope you like it....

Little Nurse

So I wasn't going to post again today, but I had a spare hour so I decided to follow the sketch from I Love Promarkers and the Doctors and Nurses theme from Cupcake Crafts.  I've also not used any patterned paper in line with this weeks Totally Gorjuss Challenge.

The image is LOTVs "Little Nurse" and is coloured in with promarkers ( ice grey 1,5, tan, cinnamon, cocoa, almond, buttercup, mustard, cornflower, cobalt, blossom, fuchsia pink, ruby, cardinal).  Pink paper is from scrap box, and I've used swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder.  Sentiment is from pink petticoats material girl set (already printed off from this morning). I have left it really simple with no embellishments...

Hope you like it

Material Girl

Well it's Saturday again and you know what that means LIMettes... A new challenge at Less is More.  This weeks is a theme of "Acetate". Now when I found this out I really did panic, I knew exactly where my acetate is, but didn't know if I could print on it... So I've used it as the card blank instead.... Here it is...

I've Printed off a Kraft sheet from Pink Petticoat ( My card blanks were too heavy) to use as an insert so it can be written, this has been attached inside with a little glossy accents. I've coloured in with promarkers (Blossom, Buttercup, meadow) the Pink Petticoat image and then cut this out. It's finished off with a clear dew drop from Ribbon Girl.  This has then been added to the front of the acetate along with the sentiment.  It's finished off with some seam binding and thread and a button.

The hardest bit was taking the photos....

Hope you like it...

OSCC Week 127 - Altered Butterfly Box

This weeks One Stop Craft Challenge theme is "Altered" so I've used a little box from a well known Swedish retailer and made it look a little more "pretty"..... Here is this weeks creation.

I've taken the boxes (PYSSLIG) from Ikea and used a decoupatch technique with the pink tissue paper that The Ribbon Girl orders come wrapped in (it was such a pretty colour I had to save it). I've cut this into squares and use decopatch glue to cover the whole box. Once this was dry I've rubbed in some soot black distress ink and then added some black organza ribbon and a butterfly from Marianne creatables (I do love this one).  It's finished off with a few gems from Hobby House

Hope you enjoy this weeks challenge, I'm looking forward to seeing your creations.

After a week of anguish and excitement I can finally tell you all I have been asked to join the "Cards For Men" DT... Yippee...........

Say it With Flowers & Top 5 @ Passion for Promarkers

I've had a busy weekend doing not much but card making and now it's back to a very busy work week with the Auditors in ;-( But I managed to make a little card... here it is...

Image is Penny Black from a T for Transparent set ( sorry can't remember the name).  I've coloured this in with Promarkers ( Blossom, Pink Carnation, Meadow Green, Satin, Tan, Burnt Sienna, Henna, Cocoa) and instead of blending on the prickles I've just dotted the browns over the satin.  Pink flower paper is from the free gift from May's Paper craft Inspirations ( it happened to be still sat on my desk).  Yellow paper is from scrap box.
I cut out the image withe nestie and then gave it a ribbon border. It's finished off with a few dew drops from the ribbon girl and a simple sentiment from the wood ware tiny sentiments stamps. The card blank is only a 5x5 from craft work cards.

I'm entering this into the following challenges...

Penny Black Saturday - Say it with Flowers

Butterfly Birthday Wishes

Well it's Saturday morning again and I'm up bright and breezy today ( it is Less is More day after all) and I've loads to do today.  Me and Liz spent last night doing a Wedding Invite commission and surprised ourselves with how quick we got it finished....

Anyhow back to the challenge,  This weeks Less is More is an OLC design with a theme of "Sentiment". And since it has butterflies on it, I'm also putting it in this weeks Flutterby Wednesday..Here is the card...

I've used Happy Birthday as my theme and printed directly onto the card using Homemade Apple Pie font in shades of purple.  This is embellished with a few tiny butterfly's and a single gem... simple....

Hope you like it

When I saw this weeks LOTV challenge and the fact it was "Peach & Green" I kind of panicked until I saw the MME Wild Asparagus papers still on my desk from buying them reduced last week and they happened to be perfect!!  I finally managed to use my "Together Forever" Stamp that I bought at Harrogate as well.  Here is the card....

I've coloured in the image with promarkers (Coral, Peach, Sun kissed Pink, Olive Green, Marsh, Buttercup, Mustard, Satin, Tan, Cinnamon, Cocoa and Almond) and used my oil pencils to shade.  Papers are MME and ribbon from stash.

I'm also entering this in to the following challenges...

Tortoise and the Hare & GDT for Cupcake Crafts

What an exciting day, I got a message earlier to email Faye at Cupcake Crafts and she asked if I would be Guest DT for May... How cool....I'm so excited!!

Anyhow, onto my card for today... I decided I'd have a go a the "Comedy Challenge" for this weeks Cupcake Crafts, only to find out I didn't really have anything very comical....But I gave it a go...  I've used the sketch from Totally Gorjuss #74 for the layout. Here is the card...

Image is Turtley Yours (yes I know, but I think it looks more like a tortoise being that I've seen a fair few Turtle up close and personal)  from the Retiring section at Pink Petticoat, I picked it out last week when I went looking for leopard print paper.  I've coloured this in with promarkers ( Pear, Marsh, Lime, Aegean, French Navy, Cool Grey 4,5, Cardinal Red).  I've then cut out with a Hex Nestie and added some Glossy Accents to to spots. The Papers are all Pink Petticoat ( Big Fella Collection).  It's finished off with a sentiment printed on PC ( Font: A Little Pot) and a tad of card candy.

I've also entered it into " My partner in Crafting Crime Challenge #24- Layers it Up"

Hope you like it

And Another Handbag....

Completely forgot to post this last night, but this is is the "Pink" handbag that I should have been doing last night.  I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday # 148.  Here is the card....

Image and papers are from Pink Petticoat.  On the image I used photoshop to remove it from the sheet so I could enlarge it.  The papers are washed damask in Little Fleur and Orchid.

The pearls are from hobby house and the glitter and ribbon from my stash.  I've finished it off with a PC printed sentiment.

Hope you like it...

Addicted to Handbags

Well, this card was a complete accident... I was trying to make something with pink handbags but ended up putting red glitter onto the flowers instead to the magenta, so I thought I'd finish it and enter it into Less Is More a touch of red just for the fun of it.  Of course, now I still need to finish the pink handbag card.....

Image is from Pink Petticoat and red card and glitter are from my stash.  I printed off the sentiment from my PC. Sorry the photo is a bit poor, just couldn't get the light right at all...

I'm off to do the rest now....

Pink Leopard Print 18th

I've had a few commissions to do including two cards and gift cards for Jo at work for her daughters 18th... The spec I was given is "Pink & Leopard Print".  This is what I came up with for the first one using the sketch from Mojo Monday....

The paper is Pink Petticoat, Ribbon from stash and I've use Martha Stewart punch for the edging and finished off with a little black glitter and some black dewdrops from the Ribbon Girl.

Hope you like it

Make a Wish

I'm doing well crafting this weekend, even though I've mad busy.  Just got back from weekend in Yorkshire seeing Avenue Q in Sheffield and visiting the BF parents in Doncaster.  I've managed to get this little one done based on the Penny Black sketch. Here is the card.... But I wish you could see how sparkly it really is....

The image is Penny Blacks Cat on the Moon which I have coloured in with watercolours.  I've glittered the moon and stars with clear glitter and then cut out with nesties.  The pale pink paper is from scrap box and the spotty glittered paper is from First edition Love stack.  The rick rack is from East of India.  The glitter buttons are from American crafts and the gems from Hobby house.  The sentiment is from a Penny Black T for transparent set.

I'm entering this into the following challenges...
penny black - sketch
charizma cards - bling and sparkles
paper pretties - bring on the bling

Hope you like it....

Birdhouse & Top 3 @ Little Claires ( Again!!)

If you would have asked me a few weeks ago when I started blogging if I would win even one Top 3 I would have laughed, but now I'm on my 3rd of the week and each one has been a surprise, none more that this as I won it in the last challenge too... I'm finishing off the week with my entry into Little Claire's Challenge 4 - Spring....Here is my card

I've kept this one very simple using one of the Digi images from Little Claire's, Birdhouse.  I Printed off twice and then used a decoupage effect for the birdhouse, birds and flowers to give it some dimension.  The image is coloured in with promarkers (tan, cinnamon, cocoa, blossom, pink carnation, poppy, lavender, lilac, pear, moss, buttercup, mustard, pastel blue, denim) and finished off with some pink 23mm ribbon and a simple sentiment from a fizzy moon set.

I hope you like it....

Under the Sea - Spots & Dots One Stop Craft Challenge DT

Well I;m here with my first official DT card for One Stop Craft Challenge and this weeks theme is Spots & Dots.  This is what I came up with....

The image is Dude time doodles and I've printed this onto Tangerine fairy dot paper from Pink Petticoat.  I've then cut this out and place over a circular aperture decorated as the sea.
The fish stickers are from Mei Flower and the coral look beads from my stash... Hope you like it... Enjoy this week's challenge....

Touch of a Red Poppy

Well it's Saturday morning and that means only one thing... A new Less Is More challenge and this week it's a touch of red.  Since I'd not made my own Mums Mothers day card yet I thought this would be perfect.  Here is the card....

The poppies are made using the scrunch method that Jo showed me at Harrogate although I've flattened them back down again, the centres are gem brads from the sale at hobby craft ( sorry don't know make).  The swirl is Sizzix bigz die Flourish and Leaf and the sentiment was printed on PC (Hill House font)

Hope you like it, I'm sure my mum will

Ps my mum cannot use a PC so this is safe being posted Lol.....

Gift Wrapped With Love x

Well I'm back again with my second card for tonight.  I do love those evening where I can lock myself away in the craft room and create lol xx.  Here is the card....

The image is a gorgeous LOTV stamp called Gift Wrapped.  This is coloured in with promarkers (Ice grey 1-3, buttercup, mustard, lavender, lilac, amethyst, khaki, blossom ,blender).  It's mounted on yellow bazzil bling card stock and then onto Pink Petticoats Pretty Doodles paper in lavender.  The ribbon and buttons are from the Yellow mix bag from the ribbon girls and the bit of glitter on the ribbon and butterflies is clear from glitter magic.

This one was inspired by a number of challenges and I've entered it into the following:
LOTV - spring
Crafts and Me - Use yellow
Flutterby Wednesday - buttons and bows
Stamp Something - Use Digi ( Digi Papers)
Hope you like it.... Ill be back bright and early for Less is More in the morning.

Zooming Along Now You Passed & Top 3 @ I Love Promarkers

Well I have a really good week with Top cards with my 3rd of the week (not really sure how) coming from one of my favourite cards "Leap frog over the dots". I was a little surprised to say the least.

Anyhow, enough waffling, here is my entry into this weeks Cards for Men #7 - Embossing and I Love Promarkers #59 - Emboss it! As well as Totally Papercrafts One for the Boys. Here is the card....

The image is LOTVs Zooming Along, which I have coloured in with promarkers (Poppy, Cardinal, Berry, Black, Ice Grey 1,3,4,5, Cocoa, Tan, Cinnamon, Pear, Moss, Pastel Blue, Buttercup, Blender). I have then cut out the image and added a little glitter to the "Angel".  This is then positioned on a road made of black card embossed with Sizzix embossing folder - Tim Holtz Gridlock.  I've used some of the white ribbon that come from the lovely packaging from the Ribbon Girl to make the road markings and then mounted the lot onto MME Bloom & Grow paper.  The Red crimped paper was from the papermill shop and the image is printed from PC and cut out using my nesties.  It's finished off with some black card candy.

Hope you like it....
